Zencart MYSQL Database Access Integration – Phase One

Bidders – Please note we will heavily favour bidders who give us indication of their experience with similar projects (please provide links if possible) and also as much detail as they can about how they will approach the project and exactly who in their organisation will be doing the work and their qualifications and experience.

Please feel free to ask as many questions about the details as you need in order to make an accurate bid.

We require an experienced programmer to integrate our Zencart shopping cart with our Microsoft Access based invoicing program to transfer client address details, telephone number, email address and product order information from the cart to the next available sales order on Access.
We will put the successful bidder in touch with the developer of the Access based invoicing software who is very keen to help with corresponding field names and any other information you require about his software. He has extensive knowledge of Access and Visual Basic but not MYSQL PHP or Zencart.

• The invoicing software is hosted on a dedicated terminal server (access details will be provided).
• The shopping cart and database are hosted on a dedicated VM server separate from the invoicing software.
• Access will be granted to both servers, MYSQL database and Access database.
• Test copies of our Zencart and Access invoicing software can be set up on each server to assist development.

1. Add a button to the individual order page in Zencart that activates the transfer of the information to the Access program.
2. Add an icon to the side of the relevant order in the order list on Zencart to indicate that the information has been exported.
3. Add an icon to the individual order on Zencart to indicate that the information has been exported.
4. Extract all the information fields from the mysql database for that order and send it to the access database server.
5. Enable the Access database to automatically open the next available sales order and insert all the address information into the relevant fields.
