We are looking for artists to produce a short run of illustrated clothing assets for our Facebook/MySpace game What to Wear. We would like to produce 6 clothing items (templates) that can be colored to create a total of 24 clothing items that will be usable in-game. We will supply a creative brief describing the clothing line plus documentation for creating assets
We will be hiring a few different contractors to work from the same creative brief. We are using this short project to evaluate potential candidates for longer term outsourcing contracts, our process for managing multiple outsourcers, and the effectiveness of our current documentation and creative briefs.
We define a clothing line as a thematically consistent series of clothing items that relate to the Seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Themes fit within the season, such as Fall/Back to School, Fall/Halloween, Winter/Holiday, Winter/Sports, etc.

What we will supply
 Access to a Google Site that describes the creative brief (style boards with collected reference images, and color palettes) and descriptions of our production processes.
 The source PSDs for some current items; this includes a set of template items that we have used to derive new styles. For example: we have a default pair of pants which can be used to derive other styles of pants, we have a default t-shirt that can be used to create other styles of t-shirts, etc. Our outsource partner should use these template items to create new an interesting styles.
 A style guide that describes the visual style both qualitatively and quantitatively. For example: we will describe the attitude of the visual style as well as specific processes to achieve consistent line weights, shading and layering. The style guide will also include DOs and DONÂTs with visual references.
Outsource partner responsibilities
 To adopt the visual style as communicated by a style guide that we will supply.
 To illustrate all items in Photoshop and maintain the established file structure.
 To coordinate with, and integrate feedback from, our in-house artists.
 To export all items as PNGs and place them in SWFs for use in the game. We will supply a tool to do this automatically from the saved PNGs.
 To name all files consistent with our naming conventions.
 To batch upload all items into a version of the game that can be used for testing.
 To test all assets to maintain stylistic consistency and to verify that all items layer well with other existing items.
 To create 2 finished views for each item.
 Item view (as it appears on the model)
 Store view (as it appears in the store - often very similar to item view)
 To deliver all assets.
