Your task is to build an application very similar to http://bit.ly/17iuO2.

The following functionality is a must:

Iphone and Android application
- register new user
- log-in existing user, log-out
- import friends
- activity feed (nearby)
- show places and select place to check-in
- check-in at a local revenue
- receive mayorships and badges for recurring visits
- user profile (with earned mayorships and badges)
- add friends

Web application
- register new user
- log-in existing user
- Real-time (push) display of latest check-ins

Middleware Database / Central Service
- Synchronize data between mobile and web app

You are allowed to use existing frameworks and open-source libraries. If you use third-party development tools (Appcelerator, PhoneGap, et. al.) please explain why you’d use them.

This is an initial stage of the project; in the next stage there will be an extended version build on top and customized to my client’s needs.

You don’t have to provide any styling or graphical design. This will be done by a professional UI-Designer in the next phase of the project.

You should have in mind that any security or scaling issues won’t be critical at this initial stage. However we expect to find a reasonable amount of thought from you in your code to avoid any future problems.

We are willing to work with individuals and even if you don’t have any recommendations yet. But please only bid if you already have previous experience developing an app, have a completed app (or apps) to show, and can provide references.

GMT+1 and European developers will be preferred and template bids ignored.
