This is a New ADHD Application Development

1. Background and Need

This application is geared towards enabling people with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) run a better life and be more productive & efficient in their day to day activities.

2. Features

These are the main features that the application should have:

2.1 Audio Delay Line

I would like an application that acts like a 5 minute audio delay line.
Anytime you activate it, by clicking or merely saying the name of the application, it starts recording audio for say
10 seconds, and then 5 minutes later it plays that audio back automatically.

2.2 Simple Mapped Buttons

Application should have fairly simple mapped buttons so users don't have to fiddle with the application too long, but to spend the minimum time required to start and operate the application.

2.3 Delay Time Control

The idea is for the application to be flexible both for the recording time length and for the delayed playing time.

3. Usage Scenario (Stepwise)

a. User with ADHD is immersed with his work.

b. Land line Phone rings.

c. User activates application & says "Emailing Richard about the lost receipt. He'll be gone in an hour."

e. User goes to answer the phone and talk blah, blah, finish.

f. User gets distracted and starts talking to other employees (when at work for instance) /engage in other activities.

g. Application says: "Emailing Richard about lost receipt. He will be gone in an hour."

h. User (Hopefully) takes the hint and finishes up what he wanted to do- Emailing Richard about the lost receipt...


This is the basic application that I would like developed.
