We are just in the beginning process of building a brand new web based software/service. Without giving it away, this will basically be a tool that people can use for ecommerce on their site and also as a CRM/affiliate tool.

For the first phase of the project, we are going to be developing a shopping cart that people will be able to customize and put on their various websites. This will include various functionality including coupon codes, one-click upsells, reoccurring billing, multiple payment gateways, etc. In addition, we will need to develop a CRM and affiliate program to be included with this. Of course, the user will need to be able to access reports for this stuff.

We are looking for someone who has a good grasp on Web 2.0 online based software. This person will also have a good handle on ecommerce software, shopping carts, affiliate programs, CRM software, and also other technologies. Later on we are going to be continuing to add other functionality into this. You must also understand various APIs to see how we can integrate with them. Also, you must be very creative and have a good business sense that would help with this planning process.

Some of the competitive software is 1ShoppingCart, Infusionsoft, Pipeline Deals, Salesforce, Nanacast, etc.

The perfect candidate is someone who has experience building/project management of LARGE web 2.0 projects like FreshBooks, BaseCamp, etc. We will need to be able to see your projects both front end and back-end in order to be considered. If you don't have experience with large projects like that, please don't apply. You will need to provide proof of the projects that you have worked on. Also, you will need to have PHP, MySQL, AJAX, HTML, Amazon S3 knowledge.

If you wish to be considered for this project you must have positive feedback, a portfolio, Skype, and good English skills so that we may discuss this entire project. You will also be required to sign a NDA for this (which is not a problem for most people as it is standard).

Now, here is the best part. We need to work with a team that not only has the ability to create a great software for us, but also be available longterm to help us continue building this software, adding on features, and most importantly, be available for EMERGENCY situations when servers crash, glitches, etc. We are interested in having you be a business partner with us, not from a financial sense, but from more of an accountability sense. You and your team will need to take ownership of this program and be willing to work with us on a long term basis on an IMMEDIATE basis if necessary. Also, we are interested in those with programming teams that are able to support the project 24/7 with tech support. Let me know if you have that available also.
