Phase 1:
I want some to write a program that will take the results of a google scholar search, and sort them according to how many times each has been cited. Here's an example:
Herrin v. State
- How cited
568 So. 2d 920 - Fla: Supreme Court, 1990 - Google Scholar
... Expert testimony on the subject would be helpful but is not mandatory where there is other
evidence to support the conclusion. We believe the evidence in Herrin's case meets this
criteria. ... We approve the downward departure in Herrin's case. ...
Cited by 53 - Related articles
Where it says "Cited by 53", each count each and place the entries that have the most number of cites at the beginning.
Phase 2:
Because there might be more than one page of results, the software will have to have the ability to go get all pages, and then sort. This might require a front end, that has the user type in the search criteria (copied verbatim from google scholar advanced search), and hands that off to google.
I'm thinking that the easiest way to accomplish this would be via html, but I dont know
