I'm interested in developing a website comparable to secondmarket.com, prosper.com and sharespost.com. That would be the starting point for an infrastructure. In terms of looks, style, design I like prosper and secondmarket better. I also would like to be able to have the metrics and statistics reporting for each account that prosper offers its users. It should also have the ability to host multiple types of auctions, including public and private (by invite only) auctions.

The site would have to be VERY user friendly for members and users. The back end would have to support account management as well as managing the items for sale. I would also like the infrastructure to be easily scalable for growth prospects. I prefer very mainstream and popular coding techniques with languages that are the most popular and manageable. Also, it must be in English and NO templates. I'm trying to be as specific as possible without divulging too much information. I'm open to suggestions to create a better site and realize that the ultimate cost will exceed the initial budget over time. This is just to start.
