Project overview: Want to have tablets where Host can place at table to give expanded and up to date menu and menu item information. Children can also be entertained by game, short movies, cartoons etc. Guest could also be able to notify manager, ask for server attention, give feedback.

Looking to develop Android based tablet restaurant menu system. (Hardware presently undecided) System will be mostly disabled for guest access to items outside these features/app(s). Also would like games for children to do....free from market are fine (Must be G rated). Will use Wi-Fi to connect to corporate intranet and access SQL server or mySQL (this would be Internet based on our website) to get data. Primary use is to provide guest with a menu and access to nutritional data. Pictures should be included. App should be able to be changed for multiple restaurants. (We have several different types of restaurants with different cuisines). Pager feature would be of great use to call for server/manager. Feedback area for quality of service, questionnaire or other type of feedback.



Optional will be a Windows base interface to update DB with data population. Can be custom or MS Access or ???. Access from a management login on tablet would be okay, but less desirable.

Optional will be a Chef Special/Featured items.


Optional (or secondary development) will be ordering/print order interface. This will require secure Host interface to assign table number.

Secondary development to project will be web pages using same data.
