I need the creation of a sports oriented scoreboard website that is modular in nature and can be used for different sports.  The scoreboard would be included a web interface for both the players within a league and the administrators of the various teams within the leagues.  The viewing only portions would allow the viewer to view team standings, statistics, and scores of the game in the league.  The administrators page would be capable of creating teams, players on the teams, and keeping the statistics (scores, etc), of each player which tally up to the team overall score and standings within a league.



The sports that the site is based around are roller hockey, intramural football, baseball (hardball & softball), ice hockey.  The ability to easily build in additional sports as the site administrator determines are necessary is a requirement as well.



The use of backend database is a must and is desired to be based on mysql, or other open source databases.  I have a current site that is functional and based on roller hockey.  The site currently uses MySQL, PHP, AJAX and standards-compliant XHTML.  That code is available but will require re-engineering.
