I am looking to bring email together with a social community aspect. A good format to look at would be that of Yahoo mail. I am looking to model after yahoo mail and bring in an activity feed like that of facebook that will work in conjunction with the users email contacts.



Yahoo is a good example to go on. The core of their email platform, their Instant massaging piece, and the advertisement piece bringing in a news feed that functions like the one on facebook.



This must be coded and load balanced to work on several servers. To start we will have 1 for email, 1 for the core software platform to run on and 1 for the databases.



We also are looking to allow developers to work on creating applications in a controlled secure environment for us to approve for "plug In" to our software application.
