This is a project to scrape a list of name/address/phone numbers from a national (United States) list of dentist. There are more than 200,000 dentists.

There are two ways to see the data. You can go into the 51 states (50 + District of Columbia), or you can recursively go into each ZIP code (there are 40,000+ zip codes in the U.S., and I can send you a list of them.

The data can be found at this URL:


1) Go to http://www.ada.org/public/directory/index.asp


2) If asked to sign in, sign in as a member of the PUBLIC


3) In the first drop-down pick list, choose "All types of Dentistry"


4) Pick a STATE & press the search button to see how the data looks

I need to have this data, in an Excel spreadsheet (xls or csv):


-Name (1 field, you don't need to parse it)


-Active or Retired (or you only grab the Active ones, which is all I want)


-Type of Practice


-Street Address


-City


-State


-ZIP


-Phone


(Not all entries have data in every field)
