I need a Mobile Broadband Manager for Linux.
Should provide a simple GUI with the options to connect or disconnect or edit settings. Currently I have my settings stored as a pppd configuration/chat file, linked to a shell script as a kicker launcher, so it only has to work with this in the background.Unless there is a different/easier solution
Also need a live data counter. This is the most important feature.
Features
1)Simple GUI
2)Disconnect/Connect Button
3)Configuration Button for editing pppd configuration/other configuration method
4)Save/load configuration options
5)Live data counter - can take figures from "ifconfig ttyUSBx" unless you have a different idea. Also could work with the he220stat application which gives information like a data counter. However, I would also want a cumulative data counter with a reset option, simple to add with the total data transferred in some configuration file.
6)Should sit in the "system tray" area of kicker
7)Would also like the feature to use this as a plasmoid/plasma KDE 4
Should work with SuSE 11.x/12 with KDE 3.5
8)Should also provide "terminal" output if needed of the connection taking place to troubleshoot
9)Should take the signal strength and "Mode" from the he220stat output.
Deliverables
1)Full source code and rights to the program
2)Working program - need to test before full payment (binary)
