Not sure if this website is a right place to post this project (I'd appreciate if someone woult point me to the right one), but anyway:
It is well-known that mac os mouse acceleration curve is very different form windows/linux ones.
http://www.orderedbytes.com/controllermate/help/?show=configaccel
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/archive/pointer-bal.mspx
There are several fixes for mac os such as Steermouse, USB overdrive, etc. But they all are wrong since they just disable mouse acceleration, not fix the curve.
I need someone with good knowledge of Mac Os X internals to make mouse driver with proper acceleration curve including mouse preference pane where user would be able to control mouse speed just like in windows (incl precision checkbox to switch on acceleration).
There used to be an API in Mac os which allowed you to change the acceleration:
http://www.knockknock.org.uk/mac/
but is was deprecated in os x, and yet controllermate still does it somehow.
Please post your ideas on implementing it in PMB to show your knowledge and ability to do the task.
This shouldn't be really hard for someone who knows what he's doing, who knows the "secret".
