I'm looking for someone to help build a community-building site for local Boston filmmakers.  I am just one person doing this with my own money so I can't afford a lot. 

Similar to people-helping websites like couchsurfing, meetup, or craigslist, it would be a site that helps organize productions for people in the independent film community. It's basically a free matchmaking service for independent film production. For example, if someone wants to direct a film they wrote, they would be able to find other people on the site, who own their own camera and would be willing to volunteer on the project for free. Other people could see the time and location of their shoot and agree to help out as a PA or grip etc..

The site would implement a calendar planning feature which allows users to see what productions are going on locally, and what they could do to help out.

The site could be designed in Joomla using the Community Builder component but I imagine it would require some custom programming to get the search function running.

I'm much more comfortable with a fixed price for the job.  Candidates should suggest what they can do are for the price and we can go from there.
