Work we need:

In the active speakers window on the left, add a typing indicator to the right of the person's name when they are typing.

When someone starts typing characters in the send box, add a little "..." on the active speakers list to show others that they are typing.

If they have not typed a character for more than 5 seconds, reset the indicator.

When they send their message, reset the indicator.

Like chat messages, the indicator should have the lowest possible latency - embed the chatting indicator data in the same long polling call that is used to give low latency response on the main chat.

Behavior should work on IE, FireFox, and Safari.
